For a top-down scrolling shooter, Burning Skies sure fails to blaze ahead of the competition. In this game, you play the role of a member of your nation’s elite fighter unit “Raptor Squadron” in defending your homeland against the massive air armada of the Terastian Empire. Your squad is then required to make a rapid pre-emptive strike against the enemy by taking the fight to their skies and as the game says make ‘em burn.

Burn the room with a fuse and some bombs.
You start in the lower left corner and you must reach the upper right corner, picking up bombs and setting them in proper places. A lit fuse is behind you and when it reaches a bomb it will explode, probably hitting some walls wich will also burn. There may be some walls wich don`t get on fire and there may also be carpets on the floor wich get on fire quickly . The more fire the slower it spreads, so if you don`t want to be burnt with the fuse you must make a lot of fire. There are temporary powerups that make you faster, invincible or stop the time. There are four different characters to choose with different abilities. If you burn the whole room you get an extra bonus. The controls are 2,4,6,8 (up,down,left and right) to move and 5 (fire) to set a bomb.
Yes, the inteface is krappy, the graphics coud be better, no enemies (don`t really needed anyway), no sound, no vibration, no hi-score and you get only one life... but it`s freeware and I prefer to make other games or get drunk rather than improving this one... unless maybe if a lot of people ask for it...
Versions for generic midp 2.0 phones and for nokia series 40.
